Share His Love in the Community
We believe that sharing God’s love and hope with everyone in our community is essential. To do that, we encourage people to put their faith in action by serving those around them. We want residents in our community to start asking “What’s The Deal with Those People from the WHY Church?” because we are taking the unusual step of always volunteering and serving the community.
Current Opportunities To Serve
The opportunities to serve right here in our own community abound! Our volunteers have helped out at all kinds of local events such as Rake The Town, YMCA 5k, Feed My Starving Children and more.
Sign up for our weekly newsletter and check the Sunday bulletin for opportunities to serve. If you have an idea for how the WHY church can serve those in our community or you are interested in hearing about our current opportunities, please contact us.
Our Partnership with the YMCA
The WHY Church holds a special place in our hearts for the YMCA and we wholeheartedly support their mission: “to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.”
God wants everyone to develop a personal relationship with Him and follow Him. Therefore, we believe we are called to share the joy and love of Jesus with our friends and neighbors. We don’t treat people as projects or add them to our checklist of things to do (save my neighbor for example). It does mean that we invest in genuine relationships with those around us. We get to know our neighbors, co-workers, friends and family by caring about what’s happening in their lives. When the time is right, we encourage them to take a step toward Jesus and invite them to check out the WHY Church.
